The Quebec Women's Institutes They form the largest women's association in Quebec, bringing together more than 30,000 members across the province. Through their actions and the numerous charities they support, the Fermières actively contribute to improving the living conditions of women and families, while playing an essential role in preserving and transmitting Quebec's cultural and artisanal heritage.

In L'Isle-aux-Coudres, the Cercle de Fermières (Women's Institute) is wholeheartedly involved in the island's community and cultural life. Members participate in events such as the L'Isle-aux-Coudres Festival Market. Christmas all aroundwhere they share their know-how, showcase local craftsmanship and help to promote local traditions.
