About

In this undeniably charming restaurant majestically overlooking the sea, you'll feel like you're in a castle! Firmly anchored opposite the legendary Maison Croche, this establishment invites you to immerse yourself in a culinary experience steeped in history in the heart of an enchanting setting.

The history of Corylus is closely linked to the Pedneault family. When Horace, an iconic figure on the island and brother of Michel of the Pedneault Cidrerie and Verger, died at a venerable age, he left behind his restaurant, Écumé par la Houle, as well as Maison Croche. His nephew Éric, driven by an overflowing passion for this magical place, refused to see this heritage leave the family. While they initially intended to transform the place into a simple lunch counter, the restaurant's dazzling success exceeded all expectations and propelled them towards new horizons. Seven years have passed, and Corylus continues to dazzle its guests, sometimes offering, at high tide, the illusion of a cruise on the majestic St. Lawrence. The menu, drawing its inspiration from the Charlevoix terroir, seduces the most discerning palates with the quality and freshness of its dishes. As you browse the menu, take the time to discover the many culinary collaborations behind each dish. Whether you're just passing through the area or a long-time resident, a visit to Corylus is a must!
