À propos

In this restaurant with undeniable charm majestically overlooking the sea, one might feel as if in a fortress! Firmly anchored facing the legendary Maison Croche, this establishment invites you to immerse yourself in a culinary experience steeped in history amidst an enchanting setting.

The story of Corylus is closely intertwined with the Pedneault family. When Horace, an iconic figure of the island and brother of Michel from the Cidrerie and Verger Pedneault, passed away at a venerable age, he left behind his restaurant, Écumé par la Houle, as well as the Maison Croche. His nephew Éric, fueled by a passionate love for this magical place, refused to see this heritage leave the family. While initially intending to transform the place into a simple lunch counter, the restaurant’s meteoric success surpassed all expectations, propelling them towards new horizons. Seven years have passed, and Corylus continues to dazzle its guests, sometimes, at high tide, giving the illusion of a cruise on the majestic St. Lawrence. The menu, drawing inspiration from the Charlevoix terroir, delights even the most discerning palates with the quality and freshness of its dishes. As you peruse the menu, take the time to discover the numerous culinary collaborations hidden behind each dish. Whether you’re passing through the region or a longtime resident, a visit to Corylus is a must!
